1. Our privacy commitment
SyncVPN is designed to provide a secure VPN service while limiting data collection to information reasonably needed to operate, protect, support, and improve the service. This policy applies to the SyncVPN website, applications, accounts, subscriptions, customer support, and VPN services.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use VPN traffic content to build advertising profiles.
2. Information we process
Depending on how you use SyncVPN, we may process:
- Account information: name, email address, authentication information, and optional phone number or address.
- Device and application information: device identifier, platform, manufacturer, model, operating system and app versions, language, locale, time zone, IP address, user agent, push-notification identifier, registration date, and last activity time.
- Subscription and transaction information: selected plan, country, store or payment provider, product and transaction references, price, currency, purchase state, and subscription dates. Full payment-card details are generally handled by the relevant payment provider rather than SyncVPN.
- Service and security records: account and device events, authentication events, support correspondence, fraud-prevention signals, and technical error information.
- Limited connection and usage information: the selected service or server, connection time, connected IP address, and aggregate amounts of data sent and received when required to provide account usage and troubleshoot the service.
3. VPN activity we do not record
SyncVPN does not intend to record the content of your VPN traffic, the websites or services you visit, your browsing history, the content of communications, or DNS queries made through the VPN. Operational connection and aggregate usage information described above is separate from the content and destinations of your internet activity.
4. Why we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, register devices, authenticate users, provide VPN connections, manage subscriptions and payments, enforce device and service limits, respond to support requests, send essential service messages, detect abuse or fraud, maintain reliability, comply with law, and defend our legal rights.
Where applicable, processing is based on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent. You may withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We may share only the information necessary with vetted providers that help us operate the service, such as hosting and network infrastructure, app stores, payment verification, email and push notifications, security, diagnostics, and customer support. Those providers process information under their own terms and applicable data-protection duties.
We may also disclose information when required by valid law, to protect users and the service, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not disclose VPN traffic content that we do not collect.
6. Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing an active service, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, maintaining financial and security records, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and jurisdiction. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted, anonymized, or securely isolated.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards such as encryption, access controls, credential protection, monitoring, and data minimization. No system can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your device and credentials.
7. Cookies and external services
Our website may use essential cookies for sessions, security, language preferences, and core functionality. Optional analytics or similar technologies may be used only as configured for the site. Links or integrations operated by third parties are governed by their own privacy policies.
8. International processing
SyncVPN and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual, technical, or legal safeguards for international transfers.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal information, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent and complain to a relevant data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and lawful exceptions may apply.
10. Children
SyncVPN is not directed to children who are not legally able to consent to use of the service in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, please contact us.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service, technology, or law changes. The effective date displayed on this page identifies the current version. Material changes may also be announced through the website, application, or account communications.
To ask a privacy question or exercise your rights, contact SyncVPN through the support channel provided in the application or on the website. Please do not include passwords, access tokens, or other sensitive credentials in your message.
